VELOCHAMPION ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH TOUR DE MANC SPORTIVE FOR A SECOND YEAR RUNNING
Set to be the toughest route yet, the Tour de Manc returns for 2019 offering the ultimate challenge for those who are ‘mad fer it’. Taking place on the 5th May, the 104 mile long route will travel through all 10 boroughs of Greater Manchester, with over 9000ft of climbing to complete, a guaranteed leg stinger.
Tour de Manc is a charitable sportive - run 100% by volunteers, using cycling as a force for good in Greater Manchester, raising significant funds for registered charities. Supporting our local Sportive each year is an important value for our company to uphold and be a part of.
This year we have elevated our partnership with Tour De Manc we will be sponsoring the King and Queen of the Mountain Stage tackling the bittersweet, but unforgiving Werneth Low climb with an average gradient of 6% over 1.4miles, the KOM/QOM is quite a challenge to tackle and that’s near the start of the 100mile ride!
The Tour De Manc Sportive will be taking place on the first bank holiday weekend of the season, Sunday May 5th with a grand depart rolling out at 7.30am, but let’s face it, every bank holiday weekend should be kept for cycling right?!
